About Us

Cero Viejo

 A Brief History

Formed in the Arizona underground, Cero Viejo emerged with a mission: blend raw punk urgency with groove-heavy rhythm and zero nostalgia. The name — “Cero Viejo” (Zero Old) — reflects their forward momentum: no recycling, no revival act energy, just fresh noise with bite.

Rooted in the DIY scene, the band built its reputation through relentless local shows, collaborations, and self-released tracks that carry equal parts satire, social commentary, and street-level realism. Their sound pulls from classic punk aggression, desert grit, and funk-infused swing — loud, tight, and unfiltered.

Over time, Cero Viejo expanded its circle through collaborations with artists from Arizona’s punk and alternative community, strengthening its identity as more than just a band — a rotating creative force. Tracks like “Royal Execution,” “Banana Republic,” and “Winner” showcase their range: politically sharp, rhythmically infectious, and unapologetically independent.

Cero Viejo continues to operate on its own terms — recording, releasing, and performing with the same DIY ethos that started it all. No nostalgia trip. No safety rails. Just volume, intent, and forward motion.
